    • You already have a customer – use this to your advantage.

“What To Do Before An Event”

Key Takeaways!

  • Promote a post to the audience of that organization prior to the event.

  • A promoted post.

Key Takeaways!

  • 1 full year of episodes – we are celebrating today with Dave Dee!
  • Kim has learned much from Dave – for example:
    • How to speak from stage
    • How to position my messaging
    • How to be a show woman
    • And so much more!
  • How to position your messaging?
  • There is a certain question that you need to answer:
    • If I could just .
    • How does your prospect finish this statement?
    • The key word is: JUST.
  • An example:
    • If I could just...Make enough money to have an online business, so I could quit my lousy job.
  • Sometimes as business owners we overshoot what our prospects actually want.
  • Answer the above question – that is a great way to start.

“A Cold Audience Idea To Try”

In this episode, Kim discusses how you can target a cold audience.

Key Takeaways!

  • When you are looking to target audiences on Facebook, the best place to start is always to go towards the warm audiences:
    • People who have already visited your site.
    • Perhaps your e-mail list.
    • Facebook fans.
  • The warm audiences will always convert much higher than cold audiences – or do they?
  • We recently ran a test for one of our clients, and the results were incredible.
  • American Society of Tax Problem Solvers
    • They are reaching out to accountants for membership
  • We are not going after leads, but we are going after actual buyers.
  • We are bringing in buyers anytime from $4.00 - $8.00 a piece – this is fantastic.
    • These people are buying these template tools.
    • They are showing an interest in this product.
  • BUT – we wanted to scale the offer to cold traffic.
  • SO – we created a look alike of their members, and then we stacked interest in employers.
    • This is fantastic if you are going after the business-to-business market (B-to-B Market)
  • What we did - we uploaded their membership list, we created a lookalike audience of membership list, then we were able to target even further by creating more stacked interest.
  • We took the look alike list – the 1% list – and we excluded the people who saw the thank you page, we excluded their current members, and then we targeted certain employers.
  • Through that we were able to reach 9,300 people potentially.
    • Of that group – 99 became members for $3.05 each.
    • In addition – a smaller audience became members for a $1.96 each.
  • Figure out how to target cold audiences.
  • Always start with the look alike audience first, and then add the interest on top of that.
  • This campaign showed us that the cold audience did well.

“An Idea For Repurposing Your Content”

In this episode, Kim talks about repurposing popular older content, because you know the content is proven to be successful, and it will save you time!

Key Takeaways!

  • We are talking today about creating content.
  • Go to Facebook insights – and checkout by sorting all of your posts for the last 6 months, and see what your most popular posts were.
  • Were they quoted images, or videos?
  • Figure out what the most popular post was and reuse those posts.
  • If it was a video post – what tips or strategies were you sharing, and how can you do more of them?
  • Another tip is to go to your website – your Google Analytics – put in your website, to find out which article is most popular on your site.
  • Create a new form of media out of those pieces.
  • For Example: Say your Blog Post was the most popular...
    • Top 10 Blog Post – create a video out of those different blog posts.
    • Why not create a Facebook Live Video once a week for the next 10 weeks on those blog topics?
    • You can get a lot of life out of the content.
  • You don’t have to recreate the content from scratch.
  • Use the content that you know is proven, and save time without having to create more of it.
  • Happy Repurposing!

“How to Optimize Your Ads”

In this episode, Kim analyzes Dr. Perez’s ad and landing page information to figure out what could be potentially hurting her webinar success.

Key Takeaways!

  • How to optimize your ads – we are going on a treasure hunt, today!
  • Q&A comes from one of Kim’s marketing elite members, Dr. Perez.
  • She was asking: “how to optimize her ads?”
  • This is apart of Kim’s Marketing Insiders Elite Facebook Group - members get to post questions about their ads or their campaigns, or when they are looking for a good resource or a plug-in, etc.
  • For more information checkout: http://marketinginsiderselite.com
  • Question: We started this campaign last week and the ads have reached 4,014 people, but there is not one conversion. Can you tell me where we went wrong? We want to do a webinar on 06/15/16, but it looks like there will not be any participants.
  • She posted a bunch of pictures – screen shots of her ads, and the ad campaign results, which she sent to Kim.
  • When we look at her ad campaign results, the thing is she is getting a really good score.
  • It appears that Dr. Perez hadn’t spent much per ad.
  • Kim doesn’t know the click rate – this would be good information to know.
  • The best guess is that it’s not the ads that are the problems – but it would be the opt-in page.
  • People are clicking through to the ad, but they are NOT opting-in.
  • When Kim goes to the opt-in page, here is the big problem – Kim doesn’t see any congruency between those ads and this landing page.
  • The image isn’t there – there is a video.
  • It’s talking about how to analyze your current business status.
  • The landing page doesn’t say “3 easy revolutionary business strategies” anywhere like the ad does.
  • The landing page says a lot of other things, but not what was mentioned in the client’s ad.
  • The ads are not the problem.
  • Kim would focus on the landing page.

Conclusion:

Always ask yourself - where is it falling apart?

In this episode, Kim talks about writing creative headlines that will capture your audience’s attention.

Key Takeaways!

  • Here are a bunch of headlines that you can use in your Facebook ads...
  • Try using odd numbers – odd as in unnecessarily specific.
    • For Example: 8,213 vs. 8,000
    • Be super specific!
  • Try putting question marks at the end of your slogan.

  • People love percentages.
  • You can also use quotation marks within a post.
  • If you are going to show a video or other piece of content, put it in parentheses and all caps.

“More Marketing Rules to Follow”

In this episode, Kim talks about how the messaging of your ad should be addressed to the customer, and not about you, the company.

Key Takeaways!

  • Marketing Rules
  • Reminder: Buyers purchase based off of their emotions and not intellect.
  • Today we are talking about your messaging being about them and not about you.
  • When you are talking to your audience, how will the service, product, etc. apply to them.
  • Restaurants: some good ads show pictures about the experience, not just the food. It looks like someone just sat down at the table to eat their yummy food, so the customer can place himself/herself in that experience.
  • Describe the outcome.
  • What it will give you is the top 7 winning Facebook campaigns that you can swipe and employ for your own business, so you can get more qualified leads and turn them into sales on Facebook.
  • Kim is giving you the process and the outcome – and she is making it about YOU and not her.
  • Make it about THEM, and not about you!

“A Few of the Best Marketing Rules to Follow”

In this episode, Kim talks about how consumers mostly buy through their emotions not intellect.

Key Takeaways!

  • Let’s go back to marketing rule basics...
  • When you are putting together your Facebook ads, your social media posts, your landing posts, etc., remember that buying is emotional not intellectual.
  • If it were intellectual we would drive the same kind of car, but we don’t do that. Car choices are because we like the color, how they make us feel, etc.
  • We have to appeal to their emotions.
  • The ad with Jennifer Aniston and the airline company is brilliant, because the company focuses on the emotional side of the flight, which is having luxurious accommodations during the flight, rather than focusing on factual information (intellect).
  • Concentrate on the emotional appeal, and how it will make your audience feel, and forget talking about the technical side of what you do.

“A Reminder When It Comes To Holidays”

In this episode, Kim talks about observing national and international holidays appropriately in your posts.

Key Takeaways!

  • Make sure you honor the holiday appropriately – like Memorial Day – make sure it’s somber.
    • We are remembering those who lost their lives in battler protecting us, and our country.
    • We often forget the meaning behind Memorial Day, because it’s the unfortunate kick-off to summer and summer events.
  • Remember that Memorial Day is a U.S. holiday, and don’t assume that your international customers know about U.S. holidays.
    • Don’t be geocentric.
  • Pay attention to the analytics from your page, and keep a list of other countries’ holidays to recognize in your posts.
    • Kim’s fans, outside the U.S., are from: Canada, Mexico, and United Kingdom
  • Keep your posts on-point and specific to celebrate the holidays of your audience, no matter where you are located!

“A Bit of a Rant!”

In this episode, Kim talks about checking your social media accounts on a daily basis, so you can reply quickly to your customers’ questions and comments.

Key Takeaways!

  • Kim’s dilemma:

Kim’s phone/internet company has been giving her poor customer service lately. To try to receive a response right away, Kim would use the company’s motto: “good customer service” to try to get their attention. This method has helped her with previous issues in the past. So Kim tries to use this tactic again, hoping this would help, however it has not - leaving Kim quite frustrated and upset. Communication between Kim and the phone/internet company is weak, because the company won’t follow-up in a timely manner. Kim tries to follow-up and ask for help, but this company will not respond. How aggravating!

  • This scenario has got Kim thinking about her own customers, and her communication skills with them.
  • Kim’s suggestions:
  • Get into a regular routine of responding to customers’ comments on your social media profiles in a timely manner.
  • Schedule time every single day to check your social media profiles.
  • Check your comments, questions, messages, and likes.
  • 3 times a day: morning, afternoon, evening – 5 minutes at each check-in.
  • Don’t leave your customers hanging – converse with them!

“You Better Check Your Offer!”

In this episode, Kim reminds companies to look at their numbers for optimization when it comes to their Facebook ads.

Key Takeaways!

  • Facebook ads to a webinar - this particular business didn’t have a lot of sales in this marketing funnel.
  • Some things to consider...
    • Maybe we are not doing the right targeting on Facebook...
    • Or maybe we are not doing the right ad?
  • Look at the numbers.
  • For this particular business, their numbers were actually very good.
  • 76% of people were staying to the end of the webinar – great numbers!
  • The issue with this client was that they offered 3 ads at the end.
  • Remember: Lower price items that are CLEAR do better.
  • Cleverness NEVER beats clearness.
  • This particular client chose to present the clients with 3 offers, and it was a more expensive product.
  • Their Facebook ads worked, their customers were interested, but their customers didn’t buy!
  • So Kim will focus on this...the offer and the pricing.
  • The offer is where this company lost their customer.
  • Look at the numbers – from there you can optimize.

“Determining Your Offer”

In this episode, Kim talks about Facebook marketing.

Key Takeaways!

  • The number one thing that entrepreneurs have difficulty with is Facebook marketing. It’s not the ads itself, but it’s an understanding that they can offer something for a buyer.
  • Comments that Kim often hears: “Buyer campaign looks great, but won’t work in my business or that won’t work in my industry.”
  • Kim thinks we all have difficulty seeing opportunities for our own market.
  • Try this one exercise.
  • Questions to consider:
    • What is the number one pain point that your target market has?
    • And what is one tool, service, product, etc. that you offer that helps solve that pain?
    • Is there any way you can break it down to a small snip it that you could charge for a certain income? ($1.00....)
      • It doesn’t have to be a dollar offer, but it has to be something that could be the tiniest step to get a customer in the door for the first time.

“Posting”

In this episode, Kim talks with Samantha Melhorn about posting on the web using Hootsuite, Word Swag, and Canva

Key Takeaways!

  • Posting live at an event.
  • Kim’s Question:

-When you are pulling out posts, how do you decide what you are going to post at an event?

  • Sam’s Answer:

-We have a template that has a bunch of different types of posts: quotes, tips, etc.

-With each speaker, we divide how many posts they are going to get each hour, and what type of posts. Finally, we put them into Hootsuite.

  • Kim’s Question:

-What do you use Hootesuite for?

  • Sam’s Answer:

-To schedule a post, 10-15 minutes apart every hour, so that they don’t stack up and you have a different assortment.

  • Kim’s Comments:

-This is a great tip!

-You don’t want to post minute after minute, because your followers will be annoyed.

-You want different posts in between.

  • Kim’s Question:

-Can you share some of your favorite design apps that you use to create posts during the event?

  • Sam’s Answer:

-Word Swag - $3.99, you can put on your phone, and you can use your photos or their templates.

-Canva - They have their own templates, or you can use yours, too!
