"Looking To Launch Your Next Podcast Using Facebook As A Promotion Tool?”

In this episode, Kim shares with us a few strategies to help you promote the launch of your podcast.

Key Takeaways!

  • Today we are talking about a podcast promotion plan.
    • You can use the same plan to help with your next service, product, book, etc.
  • We put this plan together for one of our clients, who soon will be launching their podcast.
  • VARS in the Cloud:
    • This company is directed towards IT professionals, or those who sell Cloud based items or software.
  • How does the podcast launch work?
  • We suggested that they do a prize giveaway for the podcast launch.
    • Good way to create a buzz.
    • The item should be relevant to your interest.
    • For example: it could be a ticket to an event or conference.
    • Another example: giveaway a set of headphones to listen to the podcast.
  • Then we suggested that you offer another prize to those who sign-up ahead of time to get notified of when the iTunes launch happens:
    • This is good to build your list.
    • You do this, too, to help give your Facebook ads time to optimize.
  • You can also target people who already listen to podcasts.
  • E-mail List
    • Send out three e-mails over the course of two weeks – remind users to subscribe to your podcast, leave a review, and enter for their chance to win a prize given away.
  • Conclusion - promoting your podcast promotion strategies:
    • Facebook ads
    • E-mails
    • Prize giveaways!

    • Facebook really want to protect the users’ experience, so they don’t feel like they are being bombarded with promotional ads.
    • Like MySpace – it became too promotional.
  • When you are trying to promote for free – use Facebook Live!
    • It’s open to everyone.
    • Business page.
    • Post live.
    • Broadcasting for free.
    • You can run an entire commercial!

"How To Get Your Organic Post Out To More People, When You Are Promoting Something" (Part 2)

In this episode, Kim talks about creating content for your posts, pages, and ads to focus on the outcome, rather than the service.

Key Takeaways!

  • Take a listen to Episode 366 for a great review!
  • Content for your Facebook posts, pages and ads.
  • If you create a series of case studies, and position them as blog posts, this is a really effective way to get across your products, services, etc. without it seeming to be a promotion.
  • Kim recommends finding about 5 of your past students, clients, etc. and find out what was their outcome or their experience with your service.
  • Turn that questionnaire into a blog post.
  • Perhaps get these people to post a video interview for you.
  • When you are sending traffic to the site, you are talking about the outcome rather than your services.
  • Of course, still have ads and links to make sales, but you want it to be about the people and their outcome.
  • Facebook really wants to see this sort of content.

“How to Promote Your Products, Programs, and Services More Effectively, When You Organically Post”

In this episode, Kim talks about how to get your organic Facebook post to “reach” more people.

Key Takeaways!

  • Organic Post – when you post something about your services, programs, etc. it doesn’t nearly have the “reach” as if you had put out something with just content, image, picture, etc.
    • It’s not your imagination - Facebook tends to throttle things that they think are too promotional.
  • Let's look at some strategies - How to get your organic posts more “reach” when you are promoting something.
  • Today’s episode - let’s talk about how to use a regular post more effectively.
  • An Example: A client’s post was too promotional.
    • Instead focus on the OUTCOME if someone was to work with you.
  • The ad mentioned a $1 off of a CD.
    • Instead we are going to create a content post:
      • “Did you know that 750,00 people have profited from this 1 real estate tip? Click here to find out more!”
  • You don’t want an image that looks too “salesy”.
  • Instead show a picture of one of your clients, and say: “Find out how Jane and Joe made a profit of X...”
  • Put your full post on Facbook – choose which picture Facebook recommends, or you can insert one of your own pictures.
  • More editorial picture than a “salesy” picture is best.
  • Ask a question: “Have they used this strategy before?”
    • Asking a question is more likely to get a “like”.
    • People are more likely to share your post if they see others “liking” the post.

“Creating Financial Peace and Prosperity”

In this episode, Kim talks about creating a passive income using Facebook ads.

Key Takeaways!

  • In the beginning of launching Kim’s business, they were not doing so well at first.
    • Constantly checking to see if any checks bounced or not.
  • Now, we are good because our operating expenses are covered each month.
  • What does this have to do with Facebook?
  • They created a passive income channel using Facebook ads.
  • We create really good blog content.
  • Reaching out to specific target markets.
  • Kim sends that traffic over to her site to develop a relationship.
  • Kim posts everyday to LinkedIn, FB, Twitter, etc. – spots to post for free.
    • Great web traffic.
  • I redirect my web traffic to a Facebook ad that invites people to register for a webinar.
  • It gives them a specific date and time to register.
  • This is warm traffic – Kim’s face in the ad helps a lot.
  • Cold traffic – you might want to use words instead.
  • See what works best.
  • FYI: It takes work to set it all up.
  • Summary: Blog post, retarget with a webinar ad, and run them to an automated webinar page. Then begin to track your earnings!

  • When you are having an event, Kim recommends using three different ads:
  • 1.) Get an ad to help people register for the event.

“Tips for Event Posting”

In this episode, Kim talks about the dual purpose and content from your webinars.

Key Takeaways!

  • How did we handle social media posting during the webinar?
    • This is something you can easily do!
  • When you have a webinar, have someone take care of the social media posting.
  • What they should do – during the webinar – have them pull out quotes, screenshots of the webinar, etc.
  • This is social proof, and you can run it along with a link to get people to register.
    • You can get some live registrations.
    • This is great for driving leads into your business, while on the webinar.
  • Also – it’s social proof, for those who are on your list.
    • They know that it is working!
  • Dual purpose and content.
  • Take screen shots of people’s comments – use these as social media posts.
    • Thank your audience for being online with you!
  • This way you are not only having an event, but you are also leveraging for content in the future, and you are building trust with your audience.

“All About A Funnel” with Oli Billson

In this episode, Kim talks with Mr. Oli Billson about Facebook Lead Outs.

Key Takeaways!

  • Super effective Facebook strategy that is turning low cost leads and turning it into red-hot sales prospects for telesales team.
  • Facebook Lead Outs
    • They are essentially a pop-up form, which is prefilled by Facebook through information it already has.
  • First, some context:
  • We are using an image ad. You can also use video.
  • On that image we are using a fairly generic hook, which can be: a common question to interrupt the person that may be searching Facebook.
  • “Want to earn X amount of money per week doing X?”
  • When they click the ad, we tell them that we will send them a free video with all the information.
  • We will send them a link to the video - via SMS to the phone.
  • By pre-framing the delivery mechanism, we encourage the lead to give us the correct cellphone number on the lead ad form itself.
  • On the actual ad form we are asking for - first name, e-mail (this is for follow-up later), cellphone number (this is necessary), and indirectly asking for permission to use this information for later.
  • Also we are asking one question:
    • Would you like to talk to one of our advisors?
    • We are giving them an option to take action immediately.
      • We give them options: yes, no, or maybe later.
  • Once the lead hits our system, we can start by sending the video link.
  • Next, we can then trigger some automation based on the answer they provided in the question that we asked in the lead-out.
  • If they said YES (they want to talk to an advisor) then we send an outbound call immediately.
    • Red-hot sales lead, because they said they wanted to talk to us.
  • If it’s a MAYBE, then we will wait for them to watch the video.
  • If they didn’t click the link, then we will wait 3 days, and then call to follow-up.
  • This helps us to be as productive as we can be.

  • 1 full year of episodes – we are celebrating today with Dave Dee!
  • Kim has learned much from Dave – for example:
    • How to speak from stage
    • How to position my messaging
    • How to be a show woman
    • And so much more!
  • How to position your messaging?
  • There is a certain question that you need to answer:
    • If I could just .
    • How does your prospect finish this statement?
    • The key word is: JUST.
  • An example:
    • If I could just...Make enough money to have an online business, so I could quit my lousy job.
  • Sometimes as business owners we overshoot what our prospects actually want.
  • Answer the above question – that is a great way to start.

“A Cold Audience Idea To Try”

In this episode, Kim discusses how you can target a cold audience.

Key Takeaways!

  • When you are looking to target audiences on Facebook, the best place to start is always to go towards the warm audiences:
    • People who have already visited your site.
    • Perhaps your e-mail list.
    • Facebook fans.
  • The warm audiences will always convert much higher than cold audiences – or do they?
  • We recently ran a test for one of our clients, and the results were incredible.
  • American Society of Tax Problem Solvers
    • They are reaching out to accountants for membership
  • We are not going after leads, but we are going after actual buyers.
  • We are bringing in buyers anytime from $4.00 - $8.00 a piece – this is fantastic.
    • These people are buying these template tools.
    • They are showing an interest in this product.
  • BUT – we wanted to scale the offer to cold traffic.
  • SO – we created a look alike of their members, and then we stacked interest in employers.
    • This is fantastic if you are going after the business-to-business market (B-to-B Market)
  • What we did - we uploaded their membership list, we created a lookalike audience of membership list, then we were able to target even further by creating more stacked interest.
  • We took the look alike list – the 1% list – and we excluded the people who saw the thank you page, we excluded their current members, and then we targeted certain employers.
  • Through that we were able to reach 9,300 people potentially.
    • Of that group – 99 became members for $3.05 each.
    • In addition – a smaller audience became members for a $1.96 each.
  • Figure out how to target cold audiences.
  • Always start with the look alike audience first, and then add the interest on top of that.
  • This campaign showed us that the cold audience did well.

“An Idea For Repurposing Your Content”

In this episode, Kim talks about repurposing popular older content, because you know the content is proven to be successful, and it will save you time!

Key Takeaways!

  • We are talking today about creating content.
  • Go to Facebook insights – and checkout by sorting all of your posts for the last 6 months, and see what your most popular posts were.
  • Were they quoted images, or videos?
  • Figure out what the most popular post was and reuse those posts.
  • If it was a video post – what tips or strategies were you sharing, and how can you do more of them?
  • Another tip is to go to your website – your Google Analytics – put in your website, to find out which article is most popular on your site.
  • Create a new form of media out of those pieces.
  • For Example: Say your Blog Post was the most popular...
    • Top 10 Blog Post – create a video out of those different blog posts.
    • Why not create a Facebook Live Video once a week for the next 10 weeks on those blog topics?
    • You can get a lot of life out of the content.
  • You don’t have to recreate the content from scratch.
  • Use the content that you know is proven, and save time without having to create more of it.
  • Happy Repurposing!

“How to Optimize Your Ads”

In this episode, Kim analyzes Dr. Perez’s ad and landing page information to figure out what could be potentially hurting her webinar success.

Key Takeaways!

  • How to optimize your ads – we are going on a treasure hunt, today!
  • Q&A comes from one of Kim’s marketing elite members, Dr. Perez.
  • She was asking: “how to optimize her ads?”
  • This is apart of Kim’s Marketing Insiders Elite Facebook Group - members get to post questions about their ads or their campaigns, or when they are looking for a good resource or a plug-in, etc.
  • For more information checkout: http://marketinginsiderselite.com
  • Question: We started this campaign last week and the ads have reached 4,014 people, but there is not one conversion. Can you tell me where we went wrong? We want to do a webinar on 06/15/16, but it looks like there will not be any participants.
  • She posted a bunch of pictures – screen shots of her ads, and the ad campaign results, which she sent to Kim.
  • When we look at her ad campaign results, the thing is she is getting a really good score.
  • It appears that Dr. Perez hadn’t spent much per ad.
  • Kim doesn’t know the click rate – this would be good information to know.
  • The best guess is that it’s not the ads that are the problems – but it would be the opt-in page.
  • People are clicking through to the ad, but they are NOT opting-in.
  • When Kim goes to the opt-in page, here is the big problem – Kim doesn’t see any congruency between those ads and this landing page.
  • The image isn’t there – there is a video.
  • It’s talking about how to analyze your current business status.
  • The landing page doesn’t say “3 easy revolutionary business strategies” anywhere like the ad does.
  • The landing page says a lot of other things, but not what was mentioned in the client’s ad.
  • The ads are not the problem.
  • Kim would focus on the landing page.

Conclusion:

Always ask yourself - where is it falling apart?
