“A Quick Way To Get A Ton Of Content”

In this episode, Kim shares a hack to creating a ton of content quickly.

  • Go to surveymonkey.com, and set up an account. This is totally free! 
  • Simply do a one question survey. 
  • Ask only one thing: What is someone’s favorite book for business, or what is your favorite app for your industry. So they will offer one resource or one tip
  • Next, ask for their contact information -  In Survey Monkey this would be two questions. One is a box text question, and the other is their contact information. 
  • Now your survey is done!
  • In the survey fill out what your are asking them, thank them for entering, as give a deadline for responding and a prize.
  • Once your survey is setup, you can now use it as a social media post. Post a link to your survey to your social media audience. Make sure to tell them the question, the deadline and incentive to answering your question. 
  • You can even boost your post for 5 or 10 dollars to your fans to get more distribution. 
  • Once you get your responses back, you can now start to use this information as posts. This is a great way to create social proof from your audience, and recognizing your fans in posts. 
  • Also, another great way to built up your email list as well.

  • Or you can ask them, “Did you read this article?”, “What did you think?” Let me know below! So you are using the same phraseology, but you are not asking them about “Commenting” or using that word. When you use the word comment, Facebook tends to show your post to less people. 
  • Using words like “Engage”, “Please Share”, or “Post Below!”, will help you to get results, without going against Facebook’s rules.

How To Get The Most Out Of A Media Appearance”

In this episode, Kim talks about what to do to get the most out of doing a media appearance like a podcast,  an article, or even a television appearance.

  • If you are going make an appearance on podcast or TV,  take advantage of the recording day and the live (publish) day. 
  • Take a picture of yourself in the environment of the recording process. This should be a behind the scenes photo, on the mic, on set, or with a reporter, etc. 
  • Tag the media outlet and thank them for interviewing you, and that your looking forward to the episode/program coming out. 
  • When you tag another person’s Facebook page, Facebook will tend to show your post the their fans as well. This is great for the distribution and give recognition to the media outlet.    
  • Then on the day the program goes live, do the process over again. Include a link to the media outlet with a link to your story, tag the media outlet, then run your piece. 
  • You can promote the story with a little bit of ad spend to further your reach to the media outlet’s fans as well as yours. 
  • So double dip on the appearances day and the day that it runs. This is a great way to get much more out the media interview.

  • If you have a campaign base on website conversions - Meaning that your are looking for a behavior and action you want your audience to take, like an opt-in for a registration, downloading a free report, requesting an appointment, or making a purchase.
  • After you have 20 conversions, another audience is setup, called  ‘A Look-a-Like’ of your conversions. This creates a new audience for you based on the demographics or your best audience, plus those who are likely to preform the behaviors moving forward.
  • For example, let say you have website traffic. You can setup a new audience that is Website Traffic plus a Look-a-Like audience of your conversion audience. As your numbers get bigger, you are narrowing in on the behaviors of your best possible audience. 
  • These actions steps can be applied to your website traffic, a look-a-like of your customer list, and a look-a-like of your fans. 
  • Once you are creating a look-a-like audience of those who have already converted, you are not only getting into demographics, but psychographics and behavioral characteristics.  Here is where the real scaling can take place!

  • First, write your blog posts with an opening that identifies with the target market. Ex. Want to spend less time showing house to less qualified buyers? Can you get more done in less time? There is a better way!
  • Then offer 3 strategies for accomplishing what you suggested
  • Then reveal the Call-to-Action. That if they want more information they can contact you, or read your free book, or sign up for a webinar

  • Day 5 - Ex. Is some kind of promotion - a sales page, services page, your About US, or an upcoming event (webinar promotion)
  • Dat 6 -  Offer a behind the scenes photo  - this is something about you, your job, your customers, speaking at an event, or even something with friends and family. 
  • Day 7 - Offer a piece of industry news - an update in your industry. Make sure to include a lead into the curation of the information, and why it is important. 
  • Once they are done, you can begin scheduling them with Hootsuite, Edgar, or Facebook’s timeline.
