Facebook Sales Strategies | Episode 111

“How do you build your audience before a big product promotion, event, or sale?”

In this episode, Kim talks about her recent announcement of her book, “The No B.S. Guide to Direct Response Social Media Marketing,” astoundingly, the free chapter download has had hundreds of thousands of downloads, and the book, not yet on sale, has already hit, The Best Seller list. So how do you make a phenomenon like this happen? Kim mentions that is takes a great amount of advance planning.

Here are some of Kim’s tips:

Kim mentions that you have to warm-up your audience, so when your product is ready, your audience is ready to buy!

Run Blog Post Ads

These Ads run to Cold Traffic, and you have the Cold Traffic setup as a “look-a-like to your best customers”.You will be able to do this through Facebook’s Ads platform.

Retarget

Retarget your website traffic with a “Facebook Like Ad.” This is how your get raving fans and others see the” Likes,” and sharing of your posts.

Create Engaging Content

Next, your will create content that does not ask for anything back. Just pure compelling content your traffic to consume. Post at least twice a day.  Ask them questions and provide valuable content.

Offers to Qualified Traffic

Run your offers ONLY to qualified traffic. The qualified traffic are those who had previously visited your website, email list, or your Facebook Fans. This traffic will be the only group who see your offer, hear about your promotion, asked for a sale, or participate.

More about the Warm Traffic

This way you are only offering to those who are warmed-up to your offer, and more likely to convert.  Then announce it to your Facebook group. This makes them more interested in sharing with others on Facebook.  The sharing activity leads to a viral message among your follows, and to their friends and family.

Facebook Sales Strategies | Episode 100

“What goes into writing a Facebook headline?”

In this 100th episode of Facebook Sales Strategies, Kim celebrates with a special guest, Mike Cidola, Directer of Marketing of GKIC Insider Circle. Stodola shares some quick tips on how to write the perfect headline for your Facebook Ad.

Here are Mike’s suggestions:

Pain Points

Figure out peoples pain points, which helps them get out of a pain, an obstacle, or achieve a goal.

Objections

Think about the objections people might have. Or answers those objection in the headline.

Go over a swipe file.

This is a file of headlines you like, headline that worked for you in the past, headline you see on Facebook ad or in other subject line, and emails.

Get different mindsets.

You can get different headlines for different target markets. This goes for one headline to general target market. But, how about if you are targeting males, females, young, old, the wealthy, and not as affluent.

Pattern Interrupt

Instead a headline that reads “The Five Step Blueprint to Creating a Four, Five, or Six Figure Side Business that Runs on Autopilot,” the pattern interrupt is calling it “The Machine.” This is a simple change up, usually followed by the entire headline, for example: “The Machine: The Five Step Blueprint to Creating a Four, Five, or Six Figure Side Business that Runs on Autopilot.”

"Can you use Facebook to make your email better?"

In this episode, Kim talks about improving the effectiveness of your email program.

Here are a couple of examples to follow:

  • Test out the subject line of your sales email by doing post test first
  • Try out different subject lines of your post, and create a social media post for each subject line
  • Create them so that the have the same link to the same landing page.
  • Run a test to see which post gets the most clicks
  • You can run the post like an ad or an organic post
  • Do the same kind of test if you're going to use images in your posts, and see which which gets the best response.
  • This is a great way to test subject lines for emails sales pitch before they go out.

This test is also great for the direct mail

Test your copy and your images in a social media post before you do direct mail. Both test strategies will save you time and money. However, you will get different response on social media, but you will have substantial data for your marketing campaigns, that would not have other wise.

Lastly, do a survey and ask question like: what is your frustration, or your greatest sign of success. This will help with your copy points, in the langue your potential audience is understanding and telling you. This can be free or boost the post! If you need quick feedback give and incentive.
