Facebook Sales Strategies | Episode 116

“What every business needs to know about Facebook Advertising, but Probably Doesn’t?”

In this episode, Kim talks about what every business needs to know about advertising strategies on the Facebook platform.

Here are some details about businesses on Facebook

  • 87% of business on Facebook get no return on their investment.
  • CNBC explains that 67% of those advertising on Facebook plan to increase their ad spend. However, they are not sure that are getting an ROI, but they’re spending more money.

Here is how to get measurable results

  • Make sure you’re getting precise targeting
  • Find your most profitable audience
  • Download that list of your best customers you love to work with
  • Upload that list to your ads manager as a Custom Audience
  • Now create a “look-a-like” list of your best customers -  This mean your focus is on the best of the best.

Superhero Tactic

Go into your audience’s insights, and pull out a few more key factors. This means to pair your best look-a-like audience to those who have a net worth of million dollars or higher.  This is a great tactic, because no other media network will let your target that specifically.

To the Funnel

This is a great way to build a working relationship with your new prospects before asking for a sale.

This is the funnel:

  1. News feed ad to a blog, that doesn’t ask for an opt-in
  2. A retarget to Facebook  for a “Like”
  3. Retarget to a page asking for an opt-in
  4. Then finally sends the prospect into a sales funnel

Track Daily

Finally, track everything, everyday! Check your metrics and optimize your ads daily.

Facebook Sales Strategies | Episode 115

“Facebook brings back and old feature they use to have?”

In this episode, Kim shares some detail about Facebook returning to an old feature called “Notes.”  On the other hand it is an updated version.

What is Facebook is doing with Notes?

According to Facebook, The Notes feature is a better way to share longer content and with your groups, friends, and everyone. Facebook is working on becoming the “Go-To”d publishing source, and a place to curate content.  Facebook is aware that bloggers use Facebook to promote their content, and they want to further their reach by giving the tool to do so.

Notes provide a space for photos and captions for blogs, and a whole host of formatting tools to publish your blogs and content.  Perhaps, Facebook is attempting to build a blogging platform?

Kim’s thoughts about Notes!

  • Kim does not recommend this strategy for your business!
  • Keeping on Facebook does not getting them to your website!
  • This does not condition your audience to click on your content!
  • This does not help in making you the authority and expert!

Facebook Sales Strategies | Episode 112

“How do you warm-up your audience using Facebook posts?”

In this episode, Kim talks about  why you want to “Prime the Pump” or “Warm- Up” your audience prior to your launch, sale or promotion. Kim shares the type of social media post you can use to get new fans engaged, and become the raving fans you need.

Here is how you begin to implement this, twice a day, 7 day post strategy!

Post a behind the scenes photo - Share something personal or intimate, maybe of your office at a team meeting.

Post a quote image - Possibly post an inspiring quote from Google quotes. Use Canva, Pic Monkey, or an iPhone app called Word Swag, to design your post.

Post 3#

This post can be a quote from your blog - Pull different quotes from your blog and create them into an image post, and include a link to your blog post form this image.

This post should be a fact, piece of content, or tip. This is a quick nugget, perhaps start out like, “Did you know that…?”

This can be sharing a news article. However, you’re not just going to share a link, it is best offered with your commentary, and why you thought its was important.

This is a celebration of a fan  -  Celebrate and feature those who are “Commenting and Liking” your post. Pick one and give them a prize. Also, try doing a fan Q&As for further engagement.

Your back to doing a quote from one of your blogs, creating an image, and linking back to that blog post.  This provides valuable content and establishes you as an authority, and begins to condition your fans to “click” on your post and go to your site.

Video - Use video to talk directly to your fans, offer content,  share tips and strategies. Perhaps multipurpose this video and create it into a podcast episode or audio on your website.

Offer a resource -  Talk about and share information about Apps you like, a book you’ve read,  a website you enjoy,  technology you recommend, or whatever instrument make sense to your industry or target market.

Go back to an inspiring quote.  Again? Why? People love these! They tend to get shared and click, and begin the warm-up process.

Another news article - But, again curate this content, with comments and reasons why posted it.

Your blog post - Pull a quote for your blog post, in order to promote it in this particular post.

Ask your audience a question - Ask them what do they think about “XYZ Thing,” What are their thoughts on this? What is their greatest frustration about their industry?  What do they recommend about something?  The point is to get them involve in a conversation!

Do a Giveaway! - Have them offer a tip or a strategy to enter to win! Provide a form on your site for them to enter their contact information, email, etc.

Facebook Sales Strategies | Episode 111

“How do you build your audience before a big product promotion, event, or sale?”

In this episode, Kim talks about her recent announcement of her book, “The No B.S. Guide to Direct Response Social Media Marketing,” astoundingly, the free chapter download has had hundreds of thousands of downloads, and the book, not yet on sale, has already hit, The Best Seller list. So how do you make a phenomenon like this happen? Kim mentions that is takes a great amount of advance planning.

Here are some of Kim’s tips:

Kim mentions that you have to warm-up your audience, so when your product is ready, your audience is ready to buy!

Run Blog Post Ads

These Ads run to Cold Traffic, and you have the Cold Traffic setup as a “look-a-like to your best customers”.You will be able to do this through Facebook’s Ads platform.

Retarget

Retarget your website traffic with a “Facebook Like Ad.” This is how your get raving fans and others see the” Likes,” and sharing of your posts.

Create Engaging Content

Next, your will create content that does not ask for anything back. Just pure compelling content your traffic to consume. Post at least twice a day.  Ask them questions and provide valuable content.

Offers to Qualified Traffic

Run your offers ONLY to qualified traffic. The qualified traffic are those who had previously visited your website, email list, or your Facebook Fans. This traffic will be the only group who see your offer, hear about your promotion, asked for a sale, or participate.

More about the Warm Traffic

This way you are only offering to those who are warmed-up to your offer, and more likely to convert.  Then announce it to your Facebook group. This makes them more interested in sharing with others on Facebook.  The sharing activity leads to a viral message among your follows, and to their friends and family.

This is a file of headlines you like, headline that worked for you in the past, headline you see on Facebook ad or in other subject line, and emails.

Get different mindsets.

You can get different headlines for different target markets. This goes for one headline to general target market. But, how about if you are targeting males, females, young, old, the wealthy, and not as affluent.

Pattern Interrupt

Instead a headline that reads “The Five Step Blueprint to Creating a Four, Five, or Six Figure Side Business that Runs on Autopilot,” the pattern interrupt is calling it “The Machine.” This is a simple change up, usually followed by the entire headline, for example: “The Machine: The Five Step Blueprint to Creating a Four, Five, or Six Figure Side Business that Runs on Autopilot.”
